Rooted in Faith. Focused on the Future.
As a lifelong conservative and small business owner, Dr. Steven Shake is running for Kentucky Senate to be a strong, unwavering voice for the people of Western Kentucky. He’s not a career politician — he’s one of us, and he’s ready to take our values to Frankfort.

Grow Jobs. Build Industry. Strengthen Our Economy.
As the founder of a successful eye care practice, Steve understands the challenges local businesses face. He will champion pro-growth policies that cut red tape, attract new industry, and create good-paying jobs right here in the 8th District. His priority: Bring back manufacturing and develop the 8th district of Hancock, Daviess, and McLean counties as a hub of pharmaceutical production.

Healthcare Education for a Healthier Kentucky
Western Kentucky is ready to lead in healthcare training and innovation. Steven will work to expand access to healthcare education and bring new opportunities for students, professionals, and rural hospitals. By investing in local talent, we strengthen our healthcare system from the ground up.

Fix The Flooding
Our communities have experienced an increase in flooding which has caused tremendous damage in our area. I will work with local, state, and federal agencies to find flood mitigation resources for the counties within the 8th District.
Defending Life at Every Stage
Steve is proudly pro-life. He believes every life is a gift and will stand firm in protecting the unborn, defending the sanctity of life, and supporting policies that value families and motherhood.

Protecting the Second Amendment
Steve is a staunch defender of the Second Amendment. He knows the right to bear arms is not just tradition — it’s a fundamental freedom. In Frankfort, he’ll fight to protect your gun rights without compromise.

Back the Blue. Build Stronger Communities.
Steve stands shoulder to shoulder with law enforcement. He will ensure our officers have the tools, training, and support they need to keep our communities safe — and that criminals are held accountable.
